정말 취직하기 힘든 세상.

그 마음을 이해하지 못하는 바는 아니지만, 정말 그 사람이 경제를 안다고 생각하나?

그들이 기대할 수 있는 제대로 된 후보를 제시하지 못하는 기생세대는 부끄러워 고개를 들지 못하겠다.

차라리 경제를 아는 사람은 문후보가 아닐까? 분명  저 아이들도 조만간 알게 될 것이다. 인간답게 일하는 것이 얼마나 소중한 것인지. 단순히 일만 하는 것보다는 제대로 일을 하는 공간을 만들어야 한다. 그러기엔 “철학”이 없는 저 사람은 아니다. 아니야.

그나마 다행이다. 내가 졸업한 총학에서는 저런 짓에 동참하지 않아서.

누구는 이런 환경에서 일하는데 나는 아쉽게도 회사 컴퓨터가 느려 시뮬레이션을 도저히 할 수 없는 상황이 되어 꼼수만 찾고 있다.

결국 퇴근하는 후배에게 부탁해서 퇴근이후 시간에 후배 컴퓨터를 빌려서 개발하고 있다.  ㅈㄱ

컴퓨터 반출만 가능하다면 내 돈을 들여서(30만원이면 아주 쓸만한 시뮬레이션용 PC를 조립할 수 있을 텐데. 속터진 컴퓨터때문에 소모되는 내 에너지와 시간을 생각하면 이것도 심각하게 고민중이다) PC를 조립해서 사용하고 싶다. 문제는 내년 초면 연한이된 회사 컴퓨터를 바꿔줄 것(이라고 기대하고 있다) 이기 때문이다.그 이후에는 그냥 개인 서버로 사용할까? 정말.

하지만 아마도 회사가 사주지 않은 컴퓨터는 아마도 자산 관리를 안하기 때문에 외부 네트웍도 안될 거다. ㅈㄱ

참 단순한 이야기의 영화다.

노래를 작곡/작사하는 거리의 악사(부업은 따로 있다)와 체코에서 이민와 거리에서 꽃을 팔며 힘겹게 살아가지만 오케스트라 단원이었던 아버지의 영향으로 피아노를 잘(?) 치는 여자가 만났다. 남자의 꿈인 런던으로의 진출을 위해 여자와 또 다른 거리의 밴드가 모여 데모 테이프를 만든다.

그리고 여자는 남자의 잔잔한 프로포즈(?) 거절하고 아이의 아빠와 재결합한다. 남자도 이미 런던으로 떠났던 여자와의 회후를 기다린다.

정말 아무런 긴장이나 곡선 하나 없는 이 영화가 많은 사람들의 입에 오르내린 이유는 바로 영화음악때문이다. 극중에서 남자 주인공과 여자주인공이 부른 노래가 그대로 음반으로 OST 앨범에 담겨있다.

영화음악을 좋아한 덕에 영화도 보지 않고 OST부터 구입했는데 어제서야 영화를 봤다.

기대했던 것보다 훨씬 느낌이 좋았다. 그리고 그저 좋은 노래만을 모아놓았던 OST의 노래들이 어떤 장면에서 사용되었는지, 이 노래에는 어떤 사연이 담겨있는 지 알게되었다.

단연코 올해 들은 최고의 영화음악이다. Two thumbs Up!

Sprint Nextel stands behind WiMAX plans

Sprint Nextel Corp. remains committed to its WiMAX plans and continues to move forward with its soft launch of services in Chicago, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. ,later this year, according to Sprint Nextel Xohm public-relations spokesman John Polivka. “We don’t expect any impact to the broad WiMAX ecosystem,” Polivka said in an e-mail to RCR Wireless News. “We still have the involvement and support of our tier-one ecosystem,” Polivka said. “Agreements are in place with Intel for chipsets; Samsung, Motorola and Nokia for infrastructure; and with Samsung, Nokia, ZTE and ZyXel for various access devices. While not part of the main ecosystem, LG has committed to a WiMAX device for 2007 and Intel has signed five PC original equipment manufacturers to embed laptops with WiMAX chipsets in 2008.” “Details of those customer agreements are proprietary,” Polivka said. Sprint Nextel and Clearwire found “more complexity than we were comfortable with,” Polivka said, in attempting to merge “two different business models.” The two parties’ letter of intent could not be executed for the benefit of a “simplified user experience.” The two companies continue to talk about roaming agreements and spectrum/frequency management issues, he said. Sprint Nextel has 10,000 cell sites ready to go and thousands of base stations on order, according to the spokesman. According to Polivka, Sprint Nextel also recently signed memos of understanding with Korea Telecom and the government of Taiwan on roaming, interoperability and ecosystem expansion for economies of scale to make WiMAX pervasive. Plus, the International Telecommunication Union has certified WiMAX for global standardization. “Needless to say, the momentum continues,” Polivka concluded.

결국은  단말 문제로 귀착될 듯하다. 사용자가 보다 쉽게 접근할 수 있는  TE(Terminal Equipment)가 제공되어야 한다.

이젠 나도 인텔 맥을 구입해서 관심이 줄긴했지만 한때는 관련 사이트를 기웃거린 적이 있는데.

앞으로 1-2년 후에는 어떻게 될까? 안정적으로 지원만 된다면 다음 버전은?
