iPhone도 나온지 몇 달만에 200달러를 내려버리더니 터치도 그런 꼴 난거 아냐.

무슨 생각인거냐 잡스. 요즘 하는 짓이 점점 불만스럽다. 사용자의 파일을 멋대로 버려버리는 치명적인 “파일 이동 오류”를 가진 프로그램을 버젓이 팔고 그나마 패치도 바로 안 내고.

그래도 마소는 며칠 내에 패치는 냈던 것같은데.

When Steve Jobs announced five new apps for the iPod Touch yesterday, people were ecstatic — for about ten seconds. Once he mentioned the upgrade would cost current iPod touch owners $20 (they’re included on all new units), most of the comments from participants following the keynote in TUAW’s IRC channel were largely unprintable. Apple’s customers aren’t usually the sort to take things lying down, however, so now there’s an online petition calling on Apple to make the apps free to current customers. As I write this, there are close to 600 signatures and climbing. It’s worth noting that Michael Rose and John Gruber pondered the possibility of iPod touch updates and user costs back in October 2007, as Apple’s quarterly earnings report indicated that the iPhone’s subscription accounting model was not being used for the touch. At the time it wasn’t clear what would happen when functional updates to the iPod touch were released; now we know that they come with a price tag.

꼬랑지 2) 클리앙 맥당에 올라온 글을 보니 iTunes 7.6으로 업데이트 한 후 소리가 안 나온다는 말도 있다. 허허

꼬랑지 3) 터치를 1.1.3 버전으로 올려버리면 jailbreak한 거 다 날아가 버린다. 지금 itunes에서 1/22일에 자동으로 firmware 버전 확인한다고 하는데 실수로 update라도 하면 -_- 대략 난감이다. 해킹후 많은 걸 쓰고 있지는 않지만 그래도 메일은 무지 잘 쓰고 있는데…

쩝. 정상적으로 불륨간 파일을 이동하면 가끔 파일이 사라지는 경우가 있단다. 해결책은? 없다. 이미 사라진 파일은 복구가 안되니 이번 버전에 들어있는 타임머신 기능을 이용해서 미리 미리 백업해 놓으란다.

너무 대책없는 거 아냐? 멋지고 화려한 것보다는 기본에 충실해야 하거늘. 오동작이면 그나마 낫지. 아예 사용자의 자신을 날려버린다니 어떻게 저런 수준의 제품을 팔아놓고 장사를 할 수 있을까?

벌써 파일 이동중 파일이 사라지는 레오파드의 버그때문에 프로젝트 파일을 날려버린 사람의 이야기다 떠돈다. OS의 치명적인 버그로 인한 손해를 단순히 백업을 하지 않은 사용자에게 돌려야 하는 게 맞는 걸까?
